Odyssey Bookkeeping can replace your back office by undertaking the following duties:

Odyssey Bookkeeping will prepare your accounts and annual reports in readiness for your accountant.
If you operate your business as a sole trader or partnership, you can claim a deduction for the costs of running your business from home. There are two types of expenses for your home-based business. These are running expenses and occupancy expenses. Whether you can claim running expenses only, or both depends on whether you have an area of your home set aside as a "place of business".
If you operate your home-based business as a trust or company the business should have a genuine, market-rate rental contract (or similar) agreement with the owner of the property. This will determine which expenses the business pays for and can claim as a deduction. If there isn't a genuine rental contract, there may be tax implications for you and the business.

If you are an employer, you need to pay super contributions for your employees electronically (electronic funds transfer or BPAY®) and send the associated data electronically.
The data is in a standard format so it can be transmitted consistently across the super system – between employers, funds, service providers and the ATO. It's linked to the payment by a unique payment reference number.
This means you can make all your contributions in a single transaction, even if they are going to multiple super funds.
All employers should be using SuperStream. When this is not the case, help can be sought from your tax agent or bookkeeper, or you can speak to your superfund.
Even though you may set your own business targets, report and take action based on KPI's, it is always a worthwhile exercise to periodically evaluate how your business measures up in comparison to the industry standard. It's a great way to check if your business is on track. If your business is within the benchmark range, you can generally be satisfied that you are doing just as well as your competitors. Keeping in mind that location and business circumstances will impact your data.
By using ATO tools Odyssey Bookkeeping can provide you with ATO reports where you can see how your small business compares to the industry standard.
Provided we are able to collect the required data from your records we will be capable of presenting you with a report based on your industry benchmark ranges as reported by the ATO.
